After 29 years in advertising I retired to work full time on painting with watercolors. In business we often did illustrations for our print media... but always quite product specific. Now I paint semirealistic images as well as abstracts that are considerably more gratifying. For instance, above I've incorporated a depression era glass bowl which was my grandmother's.
I received my bachelor's degree in graphic design from The University of Illinois in 1979. And after that aforementioned little stint in advertising, I now work exclusively in watercolors traveling to an average of ten art shows a year.
